The survey that Victor provided was excellent, as he covered every necessary detail within his report and supported his review by scheduling a haul out and sea trial. He also provided a separate survey of the boat house, which was equally impressive. Victor then introduced me to an outstanding mechanic – Shawn with “No Panic Mechanic” – who assisted in carrying out the recommendations noted within Victor’s survey.

Beyond this initial round of terrific service that Victor provided, he has been readily available to answer any follow-up questions I have asked him. I am definitely wanting to leave an excellent review for Victor as he was our saving grace in the completion of our boat purchase, finding him was a game changer for sure with the future of our new boat.
As soon as I called Victor I felt reassured and in good hands as I did not have a good experience with a previous inspector I had called and did work for us. Victor was prompt and rearranged his schedule to meet our timelines.

I found him extremely knowledgeable and felt very confident with his survey from bow to stern. He has decades of experience and it oozes out of him when he speaks. We received a professional 36 page binder in full detail with coloured pictures and description of all areas of the boat. I found him humorous and easy going. He also took us out on the boat for some instruction on close maneuvering for twin screw operations and found him extremely calm and easy to understand.

Victor would be my only choice for any future survey that I need.

We were searching for a boat and it was recommended by our boat broker to use Victor and Pacific Coast Marine Survey for the inspections, haul-out and sea trials and in-depth review and recordings of our new 45 ft vessel. Victor was exceptionally helpful with my purchase of a sailboat at a distance. I could not come out and see the boat. He gave a very thorough inspection report. He also helped manage arrangements to do with purchasing, repairs to brakes and bearings on a trailer, as well as storage and shipping.  He took care of many small details and was knowledgable on all aspects.  He was reliable and professional throughout.  I felt like the process was in good hands at all times and this gave me peace of mind in what could have otherwise been stressful situations.  I really could not have done this without his help. I have just completed my second survey with Victor, for a float home.

The first, last summer, was for my 36’ cabin cruiser. After Victor completed that survey, he told me that he would have a copy ready to email within 2 days. That night, he would up in emergency and was scheduled for surgery the following day. He assured me that he would still have the survey completed within the day following. He was true to his word, and my survey was there.

For the float home, Victor even talked to the insurance broker about the repairs required, and negotiated on my behalf for providing insurance.

I can’t say enough about Victor’s knowledge, punctuality and professionalism, as well as the fact that he’s just so accommodating & personable. He’s simply a delight to deal with.

I purchased a 41′ 1974 Canoe Cove Tri-cabin June of 2019. I had Victor manage a $50,000 refit and upgrade to my complete satisfaction. Victor has amazing knowledge of all things Marine. Too mechanical servicing companies could not fix an overheating problem on both engines, Victor identified the problem immediately and using Precision Yacht services to complete the repairs with minimal cost. Victor gave me a comprehensive binder explaining all the systems aboard which has been extremely valuable. I have been on the water since I was 15 years old but was not comfortable with a 41′ boat. Over a ten hour period with Victor instructing me in docking and close quarter handling. I am now very comfortable getting in and out of any dock.

Victor is an amazing source of knowledge and he is extremely helpful with making sure the boat is the right fit for you, and that the boat is property fitted with the required safety equipment. As well as a surveyor, he is a mechanic, instructor and will help you pilot your boat till you are confident yourself. He works with many other local boat services to ensure you get your boat all the proper care and maintenance to protect your investment. As well, he is a kind and patient man and his lovely wife is also very kind and very helpful too. Thank you Victor, for making our new boat life so much less stressful in the transition.
